FAQ

1. WHERE DO THE LESSONS TAKE PLACE?

At my place in South Wimbledon. Address will be provided once you sign up for the lesson. Off-street parking is available and visitor parking permit will be provided.

2. FEES AND CANCELLATION

A free trial lesson will be provided. Once you decide to sign up, my rate is £28 for 30 minutes lesson and any longer lesson will be charged based on this rate. There is no notice period should you decide to terminate your lesson. When you decide to leave, just let me know and the fee will be charged for the lessons that you have attended.

For teacher/music practitioner seeking for consultation on teaching piano to children with autism, one-to-one consultation rate starts at £85 per hour.

If you are an organization seeking for seminar/lecture for staff training, please get in touch for bespoke quotation.

3. PAYMENT

I am flexible in terms of payment as parents have different preferred ways to pay. Both bank transfer or cash is acceptable. You can opt to pay on every lesson or monthly

4. REPLACEMENT LESSON

If you miss a class and would like for a replacement, I will try to arrange for you to come on another day. If there is no other day and time available, the fee will be carried forward to your next lesson. If you are unable to attend your lesson on the day, please let me know 2 hours before the lesson and no fees will be charged. However, if you cancel the lesson less than 2 hours, full lesson fee will be taken.

5. TERM DATES/HOLIDAYS

I work very flexibly during term time and holidays. Some students prefer to continue their lesson during half-term and school breaks; if I am not traveling, I can certainly accommodate that. You can of course opt to follow school term dates and take a break during half-term and holidays.

6. ARRIVING EARLY FOR THE LESSON

If you come by car and arrive early, if possible, please wait in the car until your lesson time. This is to minimise disruption to the lesson of other students before you. However, for students who come by public transport, I understand sometimes it is difficult to wait outside especially when the weather condition is poor. You are welcomed to wait quietly inside.

7. OPPORTUNITY TO PERFORM

Every summer I organise an annual concert at a nearby church where children have the opportunity to perform publicly. The entrance is free and they can invite anybody to come. I also prepare students who would like to perform in music festivals and competitions.
